It’s been so long since I wrote one of these. I used to write a launch guide for every major Irregular Choice release but then Irregular Choice started doing their own and we didn’t have any stock images or information. I kind of became redunant. I have decided it’s time to bring them back.
I do not own any of the images in this guide.
I have to admit that an Irregular Choice collaboration with Monopoly is not one i saw coming. I actually thought it was going to be Mario based on the the launch teaser. I love the board game though so I’m not complaining. Loungefly have actually just released Monopoly Loungefly too so it must be something to do with licencing. I wonder if we’re going to get other games too?
When and Where
The Irregular Choice Monopoly collection launches at 12 noon (GMT) on Friday 28th March. It will be available on the Irregular Choice website as well at the Brighton store. It may be available from other stockists but there’s so few of them now. I will share any that I find on my Instagram stories.

Be aware that The Moneybags Bag has a note on the product page saying that the bag and anything in the same order will not be dispatched until 1 or 2 weeks after the launch. If you are planning to order it I’d suggest doing a seperate order.
Box and soles
This is the first collaboration where it looks like there won’t be a specific collection shoe box design. The preview images on the website show the AW24 box (toadstools) with a monopoly tag. It will be interesting to see how much this affects the price if at all. We do still have the soles though. The banker appears on the soles in two didferent poses with the monopoly money print design. I love that print so much.

Price
We wont have pricing until after the launch but based on recent price increases it’s not going to be cheap. We can expect the bags to be between £150 and £180. The character heels will be close to £200 with the other shoes based on iconic styles to be around £150. These are just guestimates, a lot depends upon licensing costs i think.
What do we know
So far we have five different shoes and two bags that have been previewed. There are a few things we haven;t seen from the teaser so I think we have at least another bag and shoes to come. The black image definitly looks like it is another bag. I have starred at the red image with white stitching so long but I still don’t have a clue what it is.
I’m personal hoping for dice boots and money print tights. I think we may get some type of banker bag and I also had a crazy idea that there may be duck heels based upon the game counters. A duck was added after the public vote in 2017. Having said that, the bag has the original counters but the launch reel had the duck. They’ll most likely be some trainers too.
Here’s a breakdon of everything that has been previewed:
Roll The Dice

The dice heel is back! We’ve seen then as Poker Joker, the elusive Take a Chance On Me and Vegas. I love this heel so much. The side of the shoe is the game board and the money bow is genius perfection. For me this is Irregular Choice shoe design at it’s best.
- Size Range – 36 to 43
- Sizing – This style is usually true to size. They do look slightly wide.
- Heel Height – 10cm with no platform

Pass Go

I wasn’t sure about these boots when I first saw them but they have grown on me a lot. They are a classic boot style that we get with most collections so we’ve seen this style so many times. That metalic green colour looks so pretty and i love the embroided icons. The banker and money at the top of the boot does put me off a little bit as these tend to bend or poke into your legs so will be interesting to see how this done.
- Size Range – 36 to 46 extended sizes
- Sizing – This style is usually true to size.
- Heel Height – 8.6cm with no platform

Cha Ching

The Miaow boot has had a makeover. I kinda love these so much That money print is amazing and the little banker decal is perfect. I think I might like these even more than the Pass Go boots. I love that minty blue metalic colour with the gold. These are definitely a winner. I actually don’t own any Miaow boots anymore as I’m not a cat person so being able to have this style without the cat detail is so good. The more I type the more I want them. The hidden platform makes them seem lower than they are and easier to walk in.
- Size Range – 36 to 43
- Sizing – This style is usually true to size but on the narrow side
- Heel Height – 8cm with a 1cm platform

Dice Dice Baby

The Dazzling Diva Iconic but with a Monopoly makeover. One of the lower heel designs for those who need to be closer to the ground. The money print is back with black details and that black glittery heel and bow. I love the little dice patches too. More of an understaded look, allowing you to still celebrate your game board love without screaming it from the roof tops. These shoes are available in both a normal and wide fit. These shoes have a letter B in their item code so I’m guessing they’ll be another colourway.
- Size Range – 36 to 46 extended sizes in normal and wide fit.
- Sizing – Generally true to size but on the wider side even in the normal fit.
- Heel Height – 6cm

Stroll Around The Board

This loafer shoe style has had many names, including Toasty Loaf and Smart N Spiffy. We’ve seen a variation in most of the recent launches. I’ve never actaully tried this style with laces (I miss having the Irregular Choice stores to try on shoes) but it’s the same base shoe as Old Dawg which I do own in multiple colours cos it’s so comfy. The purple ribbons with that mint and purple metalic is so very pretty and that money print again!
- Size Range – 36 to 46 extended sizes
- Sizing -I find that these come up large and wide. I size down. If you’re between two sizes I’d suggest the same.
- Heel Height – 3cm with a 1cm platform

Moneybags Bag

This style square bag was once a chess board so it makes perfect sense that it is now a Monopoly game board. The seven original design couters are magnetic and can be moved around the bag. Genius. If you have a travel sized Monopoly (which we do) you could actually use the bag to play the game. I’m so tempted to get this for our next cruise. The banker is on the other side with a really fun print. There is a note on the listing saying that orders with this bag will not ship until 1 or 2 weeks after the launch.
- Size – 24 x 23 x 9.5cm
- Adjustable shoulder strap

Mr Monopoly Bag

Is this when I find out that the banker is actually Mr Monopoly and not the banker. I need to google. I think he may possibly have never been a banker, I think maybe we just made him that. It’s not just me right? I love the clasp style handbag design and this one is very pretty. As with the Pass Go boots, the amount of red and black is throwing me off a bit but they do look like they will be perfect together. I am thinking we may get a more pastel version of this and Dice Dice Baby shoes, similar to the Cha Ching boots.
- Size – 27 x 20 x 8.5cm
- Adjustable shoulder strap

That’s everything we know so far. I will do a seperate post about the Loungefly Monopoly bags that are now available. Best of luck with the launch, I hope you get what you want.
