Part of the amazing 2021 Irregular Choice Hippo collection. The shoes came in two different colours, black and an amazing rainbow. Both feature a criss cross ribbon laces design on the front and the very lovely Hilda hippo heel. You can watch my review of the rainbow version below:
The heel features Hilda Hippo along with So Hippo and Hippo-Ray. It is 11.5cm high with 1.5cm platform which is the same height as Mickey and Minnie, half a centimetre less than bunnies and deers and 1.5cm taller than dice. She reminds me so much of the ballerina Hippo from Fantasia especially in this colourway with the ribbons. These are my favourite of the whole collection.
I had to size down if all of the other hippo shoes but i found Happy Hippo true to size I wouldn’t be able to size up or down in them. They have a rrp of £169 and were available from most stockists however the rainbow ones are the hardest to find. The 14th May issue of Friday Finds did tell you where you could find them.
